A Bit About Me

Jenn divides her life between the pine forests of North Carolina, USA and the wild west of North Wales, UK, at the foot of Snowdon, the tallest mountain in England and Wales. She is a fluent Welsh speaker, and a student of both Psychology and Welsh Studies. In her free time, Jenn enjoys her family and close friends, as well as walking, exploring,  reading, writing  and learning about the natural beauty of places and people, especially indigenous peoples. She attends her local Friends’ Meeting (Quakers) regularly and is always interested in meeting people who are consciously seeking to establish peace, justice, sustainability, honour, and compassion as a way of life.

She first thought of “Feral Poetry” after six months of creative stand-still in her life. The idea arose in response to a need she saw in the poetic community for poetry that cuts through the “crap” of ego and persona and gets to the heart of reality instead of being trapped in neurosis.

I am a wilderness, an untended dream
just beneath the surface
waiting to break through
like roots through concrete.
